During the 2019-2020 academic year, 284 students studied abroad. Summer programs were largely cancelled due to concerns regarding COVID-19.
A total of 24 instructional and research faculty taught and/or conducted research abroad through the UHM Study Abroad Center for Fall 2019, Spring 2020, and Summer 2020. These faculty members represented the following departments: Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology, Architecture, Communications, English, East Asian Languages and Literature, Geography, History, Honors Program, Information and Computer Sciences, Language and Literature of Europe and the Americas, Manoa Advising Center, Plant and Environmental Protection Sciences, Political Science, Public Health Sciences, Shidler College of Business, Special Education, Sociology.
